Due to Covid and Boro permit issues, we had been waiting for 5 years for our new addition, front porch, and new driveway. It was finally completed May 2025....and we could NOT any happier, nor dreamed it could go any smoother. Pete called and texted with updates and any direction he needed; and most important to us, Mike showed up at our house numerous times. It was wonderful to us, because it shows he cares about the quality of work. He was constantly receiving updates and pictures, throughout the day...I was very impressed. We asked to add on siding and another set of doors; both times we were told no problem, we received an estimate we were VERY happy with, and those additional items were completed during the whole process.He did our roof 7 years ago, and repaired our wooden fence 5 years ago. I promise there is no one else I would want to do anything for us. I plan on having him redo all of the floors in our house this year as well. He was responsive; his workers are thorough, very efficient, and respectful. I asked many questions along the way, never did I not get an answer or was ignored. If you need any repair work, I would highly recommend. I gave his business name and phone number to multiple family and friends, and I would HIGHLY recommend. His prices are fair and honest. Spanbauer's crew did a great job renovating my 100 year old basement: waterproofing (sealing, parging, painting) the walls to stop ground water from seeping in; patching and painting cement floor; shoring up, painting and reinforcing a corroded structural beam under my front porch area, hanging a new door, adding new electrical hook up and installing a new electric dryer (to replace an old gas-powered one); plumbing and installing a new utility sink; also, rehanging all my home's gutters and installing rain barrels to capture water coming off my roof. The crew always showed up on time, worked hard, cleaned up after themselves and conducted themselves super professionally while on the job. We had one or two small corrections at the end of the job and both Mike (owner) and Pete (manager/contact) resolved the problems right away and without hassle. They were so nice and easy to work with that it restored my faith in (some) contractors after a terrible experience I had years ago with a roofing contractor that left me very untrusting. I have already recommended Spanbauer to another friend whose chimney was struck by lightning this spring and he, too, was extremely pleased with how they responded and executed his job. I was referred to Spanbauer Construction by my trusted plumber after we had a water leak in our upstairs bathroom that damaged our kitchen ceiling. Our insurance company wanted us to use a couple other construction companies that they recommended; mainly because their repair bids were less expensive than Spanbauer. After checking several references of the insurance company’s recommended companies, I was convinced that Spanbauer was the company that I wanted to do our work on our kitchen. I insisted, which is the consumer’s right, that my insurance company allow Spanbauer to do the work, and I couldn’t be any happier that I did !!!! Spanbauer was professional, timely, and did excellent work in returning our kitchen to even better condition than before the water leak that we experienced.
